The pantoprazole IVPB to IV Push Conversion Program

is an example of a RxToolkit Cost Savings Application

Potential?

This conversion can save hospitals
10's of 1,000's of dollars per year

Other cost savings/patient safety programs offered by RxToolkit:

Famotidine IVPB to IV Push: Famotidine can be given by IV push (over at least 2 minutes) diluted to 5 - 10 mL. This method of administration can save hospitals significant money, based on their current method of administration of either premixed IV bags or if they are preparing their own sterile admixtures.

IV to PO Conversion: Our robust IV to PO program allows hospitals to import eligible patients from primary hospital pharmacy software system. Users then select patient and follow decision tree (can be customized for your hospital) to determine eligibility for conversion and then print recommendation for chart. The next day, users can review status of recommendation and with just a couple clicks, document outcome. Our report feature lists conversions, % conversions, cost savings and a host of other information.

VANCOmycin oral syringes: This program provides users with background references, detailed procedures, syringe labels and optional overwrap labels and electronic documentation for each step of the process.

What's in the development/planning stage? We are developing a tool to minimize waste and provide nursing with administration information for IVIG. We are expanding our library for the preparation of NICU and Pediatric syringes for cost effective drug administration. And more to come...
